Excel data processing using EDE
About the Matlab
The MATLAB high-performance language for technical computing integrates computation, visualization, and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notation. Typical uses include
Math and computation
Algorithm development
Data acquisition
Modeling, simulation, and prototyping
Data analysis, exploration, and visualization
Scientific and engineering graphics
Application development, including graphical user interface building
MATLAB is an interactive system whose basic data element is an array that does not require dimensioning. It allows you to solve many technical computing problems, especially those with matrix and vector formulations, in a fraction of the time it would take to write a program in a scalar non-interactive language such as C or Fortran.
What is EDE?
EDE is a Excel Data Extractor software built using Matlab. By using EDE you can do Excel data processing. You need a Matlab MCR for running the EDE. There is a link down to get the demo EDE softwere and MCR installer for experiencing the EDE funcionality.
pleas note: if you have a Matlab2009rb version or above installed in your pc then only download EDE v1.01 from the link.
Why you need a Excel Data Processing software?
With Excel Data Processor you can do
- Ease your working with Microsoft Excel data and data processing
- Bulk data extraction, copy, paste can be very easy
- No more copy paste issues with excel data
- Easy to find data from a bulk data sheet
- Reused your working time improve the efficiency of data extraction
- Easy your Plotting data job
- Sorting huge amount of data never been easy before.
Matlab program for excel data processing.
Here I'm introducing EDE v1.01. which can handle huge excel numerical data, a simple and robust GUI for all your data processing needs. EDE can handle any type of numerical excel data Using EDE following things can be done.
- Extract data
- Export data
- Import data
- Rearrange the data
- Make multiple sheet data
you need a Matlab compiler for running this software.MATLAB Compiler uses the MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR), which is a standalone set of shared libraries that enable the execution of M-files. The MCR provides complete support for all features of MATLAB without the MATLAB GUI
Explaining the GUI
On the GUI it is having number of sheet selector
Number of sheet:- Under this two option single sheet and multiple sheet.
Single sheet:- Do the data processing of single sheet. Once it checked single sheet input section get activate where you can give input sheet data.
Single sheet input
- sheet number:- where you can specify the sheet number
- Specific row :- Specify the first row you need to extract
- Number of rows :- Where you can specify how many rows you want after the first row you specified
- Specific column :- Specify the first column you want extract
- Number of column :-Where you can specify how many column you want after the first column you specified
Multiple sheet:-If you have more than one sheet of data and you want put the data into multiple sheets or single sheet you can use multiple sheets function
Multi sheet input
- Number of sheets :- where you can mention from how many sheet you need to extract data
- ROW :-Using this function you can extract only rows from entire sheets
- Column :-Using this function you can extract only column from entire sheets
- Specific row/column :-Specify which row/column you need to extract from the multiple sheets
- Output in single sheet:-The data you extracted from multiple sheet can be put into a single sheet
- Output cell start from :-Using this you can specify where exactly you need to put the data on the output sheet
- Transpose the output :-The output can be transposed using this check box
Once you click on the extract button after giving required input a window will pop up where you can mention the input file. just click on the input file on the popup window.
EDE supports both .XLS and .XLSX excel format. the output file automatically get generated on the location you specify or in the same location where the input file is.
A demo version of EDE v1.01 can be downloaded from the following link. For experiencing the full functionality and Matlab code of EDE please contact us
Also we built custom software based on your requirements.
